PHOENIX, Feb. 11, 2021 -- For more than 20 years, EXOS, a leader in the field of human performance, has prepared NFL hopefuls for the opportunity to showcase their skills at the NFL scouting combine.
The EXOS combine and pro day training program provides athletes with a team of expert coaches, dietitians, and physical therapists who prepare them mentally and physically to perform their best. Last year alone, EXOS athletes who participated in the combine preparation program accounted for 43% of the first-round NFL draft picks.
The cancellation of the 2021 NFL scouting combine due to the COVID-19 pandemic left many athletes questioning whether they would be able to showcase their skills like past NFL hopefuls. To ensure EXOS’ roster of more than 130 athletes have the opportunity to exhibit their talent, EXOS will be hosting a two-day pro day event at three EXOS Institutes across the United States.
“At EXOS, we strive to create world-class experiences for our clients to enable them to achieve their goals,” said Trent Wilfinger, senior vice president of sports at EXOS. “Our primary goal in hosting this event is to provide our athletes with a safe opportunity to showcase their skills for NFL teams so they excel in the next phase of their careers.”
The EXOS pro day event will take place Feb. 26 and 27 at the EXOS Institutes in Arizona, Florida, and Texas. On the first day, athletes will participate in the bench press, broad jump, and vertical jump. The field drills, including the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, three-cone drill, and position-specific drills, will be on the second day.
EXOS believes the key to success is surrounding athletes with an integrated team of world-class professionals to support their personalized performance needs. With this in mind, EXOS sought outside support from former NFL scouts and general managers to assist in pro day data capture, including former Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager, Mark Dominik, and former Carolina Panthers director of college scouting, Don Gregory.
“I’m excited to work alongside the EXOS team to provide these athletes with an incredible opportunity to showcase their abilities,” said Dominik. “Having worked in the NFL for over 20 years, it’s great to see how much thought EXOS put into planning these workouts. The event is being executed safely and as close to an NFL scouting combine as possible.”
To ensure the safety of staff and athletes, this will be a closed event.
