What types of internships does EXOS offer?

EXOS offers many performance or health and fitness internships, including internships in strength and conditioning, dietetics, physical therapy, corporate wellness and fitness, and community center wellness and fitness. We also offer internships in marketing, human resources, finance, and other corporate office specialties.

What can I expect from an internship at EXOS?

As an intern, you’ll work with experts in your field of study and learn firsthand how EXOS helps people around the world improve their health and performance.

What does a typical day look like?

You’ll spend time shadowing and interacting with EXOS team members to learn what they do on a daily basis and how they contribute to the company’s goals. You may also participate in learning sessions or help plan and develop programs for new clients.

What education will I receive?

You’ll be exposed to learning opportunities that allow you to gain insight and knowledge into your field of study. Online courses and individual learning sessions about the EXOS training system, including our four pillars of human performance, will also be part of your experience.

What groups will I work with?

Depending on the location and nature of your field of study, you could work with corporate clients, youth athletes, collegiate and pro athletes, tactical personnel, and/or a number of EXOS staff.

Are there potential job opportunities once the internship ends?

EXOS hires an average of two new employees per month worldwide. Of those, 90 percent come from within the organization. Your internship is a great opportunity to learn and understand our company while showcasing your talent and ability.

What other benefits do interns receive?

In addition to educational opportunities, interns have access to EXOS training facilities and receive discounts on food and merchandise. Interns may also have the opportunity to be involved in new product testing.

How long is an internship? And what are the hours?

Internships average 16 weeks and take place during a typical school semester. Work hours depend on the type of internship.

Are internships paid?

No. Internships are for academic credit only.

Do I have to be a college student?

Yes. You must be attending college.

Do I need to be enrolled in a college course for which I will receive credits?

Yes. Per federal regulations, our internships require that participants be enrolled in an internship or independent study course for which they receive credit during the academic period that coincides with the internship.

What EXOS locations offer internships?

Phoenix, Arizona; Los Angeles and San Diego, California; Gulf Breeze, Florida; Frisco, Texas; Raleigh, North Carolina; Grand Forks, North Dakota; and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Internship types depend on location.

How do I apply?

When can I expect to hear back?

Selected interns will be notified two weeks after the application deadline. Those not selected won’t be notified.

Are there opportunities if I’m not qualified for an internship?

We provide many education opportunities, from in-person performance mentorships and workshops to online courses.
